Kate's 40th.
February marked Kate's 40th Birthday and it was celebrated in fine style .....twice. On the 6th, the family went to dinner at "Souled Out", one of our favourite haunts. On the 9th, Mick and Kate dined at "Grappa" in Bagsar Baru with Barbara and Alan, Gail and Clint, Ros and Gary, Stuart and Wilai, and Joe. We had a fabulous night.

Gong Xi Fa Chai (Chinese New Year)
Chinese New Year is celebrated in early-mid February each year. This year is the year of the horse. We went to a New Year celebration in Bangsar where the Lion danced outside the shopping centre to bring good fortune to the shops for the coming year. The dancers performed acrobatics atop the poles shown in the photo. The music (Chinese drums and cymbals) was fabulous .... and very loud. Mandarins are given as symbols of good luck and Ang-pow (red envelopes containing money) are given to family and friends.

Matt spent Chinese New Year with a friend's family in Segambut in the state of Johor.
